How to publish an event?
This method depends on how registration is handled.
- Create a post under the category “Event”. This post will automatically be sent out to all members who are on the mailing list or watching the RSS feed.
- Click on the Events sidebar in the backend administration area. This will bring up the Manage Events table.
- To add a new event, click on “Add/Edit Event”.
- Enter a Title.
- Check “Make the Title a Link”.
- Ignore the description area. Create a post or link to an existing event detail page such as that in EventBrite instead.
- Enter the date/time of the event.
- Select a category.
- Add the link to the post or external page such as that in EventBrite.
- Click “Save Event”.
How to Collect Event Registration?

For conference, use EventBrite.
ONE POSSIBILITY: For basic meet-ups & teleconferences, include at the bottom of the post that members should add a comment if they are attending.
